She holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of La Rioja and a PhD in Economics and Business Management from the same university. She is currently a University Professor in the Department of Economics and Business (since 2018).
Her research is based on the study of different aspects related to the innovation strategy of companies, as well as on the analysis of intangible resources and their effect on business results. Her most relevant scientific contributions include publications in Research Policy (2009, 2012 and 2020), Information Systems Research (2017), Journal of Management Information Systems (2016) or R&D Management (2007). In addition, she regularly participates in the most relevant international conferences in her field of research, such as those organized by the European Academy of Management, the Academy of Management or the Danish Research Unit for Industrial Dynamics (DRUID).
As regards transfer activities, she has participated in different contracts with institutions such as the Government of La Rioja or the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of La Rioja. From November 2015 to September 2019 she was the director of the Chair of Entrepreneurs at the University of La Rioja, which was financed through annual collaboration agreements with the City Council of Logroño. From 2018 to 2020, she was the coordinator of the international project Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey (GUESSS) and has participated in the writing of the reports entitled The Entrepreneurial Spirit of Students at the University of La Rioja published in 2017, 2020 and 2022.
