Strategy and Entrepreneurship Research Group

The LIDEERA research group originated at the beginning of the last decade, although it was consolidated under this name in 2020.
Since its inception, the group has sought to advance in the determinants of the creation of economic value and the competitive advantage of companies. With this purpose in mind, LIDEERA develops its research around three main axes: strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation.

LIDEERA Mission

The mission of the LIDEERA group is to contribute to the progress of knowledge through the creation and transmission of research of excellence in the fields of strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation.

LIDEERA Vision

The aspiration of the LIDEERA group consists of positioning itself as a leading research group in Europe due to the quality of its research in the lines it develops.

STRATEGY

Fundamentally focused on studies of a quantitative nature, our strategy research seeks to deepen our knowledge of the strategic decisions adopted by companies. In particular, the areas that capture our attention in this line are related to competitive dynamics. Thus, we have analyzed phenomena such as multi-market competition or the entry into new markets, in many cases adopting an international perspective, analyzing how these processes can generate a competitive advantage.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The promotion of business creation is a common tool to explain the improvement and growth of a territory. The study of it has increased exponentially in recent years, and not only with an interest focused on the purely academic field, but also with very notable implications in terms of public policy. Our research in this line adopts an eminently institutional perspective in the study of the existing differences in the creation of companies between different countries or regions, as well as in the exit of companies from the market.

INNOVATION

The focus of our research in the field of innovation has focused on the study of open innovation, the consequences of the persistence of innovative behavior, the relationship between knowledge transfer and innovation or the partners with whom Innovative initiatives are launched. In recent years, a part of this research has been directed towards the study of the production of eco-innovations. In addition, this line also includes the analysis of the processes of adoption of new technology by companies, as well as the study of its consequences on the creation of value.
