On January 22, our colleague Sergio Palomas gave a research methodological seminar on “Panel data models and instrumental variables”.
The seminar was organized by the Research Commission of the Entrepreneurship Section of ACEDE. The seminar was taught in a virtual format.
The methodological webinar consisted of three different parts:
- Presentation of panel data models, their operation, and the choice of the appropriate specification.
- Discussion of the most common problems with these estimates, as well as ways to correct them.
- Presentation of instrumental variables as a methodology to correct endogeneity, and the implementation of several instrumental variable methodologies applicable in panel data will be shown.
